Facebook has turned out to be a global phenomenon. With much more than 800 million customers, it has turned out to be the greatest social network man has ever created on the web. Of course, given this number of customers, defending the solitude and private details of each user can become a complicated process and here, a Facebook programmer actually fails. These days Facebook hacks have become a popular issue. So keeping in mind those issues below are some tips that you should keep in mind before having access to your Facebook account.
Tip #1: Assume Facebook hack (Facebook is not secure).
I know you go through all the societal networking articles or blog posts about how Facebook has improved their safety changed their protection settings to safeguard you much better, and so on and so forth. On the other hand, there are about the similar amount of news content being published on how the Facebook protection settings didn't perform as they were designed which permitted everybody to see your profile details or your buddies, how some hacker utilized Facebook account details on hundreds (and thousands) of customers exposing login details and other private data, and the list of faults could go on. The factor is, as long as there are cyberpunks and identity criminals, there will be faults in even the most ensuring security. Presume that practically nothing is protected
Tip #2: Don't publish anything you would not want an unknown person to see.
Just recently, a close friend of mine noticed that two of his Facebook contacts had published their new mobile phone number on their wall. When my buddy chose to contact them out on such actions, the two friends responded that only their select buddies could see the posting based on the protection setting used when publishing. See Tip #1 above if you think that the details you've published and set to safeguarded is indeed protected.
Tip #3: Societal Engineering is the cyberpunks tool of choice.
Societal engineering is the skill of becoming pleasant with a particular person and thereby getting your confidence. Once confidence is established, the cyberpunk can then gently get you to reveal your private information conveniently and effortlessly.
Keep in brain that most online hackers don't require complicated scripts or methods to betray you and make your Facebook hack. You give them the details freely each and every day. And if you have any question about that, assume about how many times you listen to individuals revealing private information while on their mobile phones near you!
Tip #4: give attention to your buddies.
The greatest sign that something isn't correct is when your buddies start behaving in ways that are not common for them to respond. What I mean by that is, just recently, I had one of my Facebook close friend's Inbox me that she was in the U.K. trapped and wanted some cash to get home. As it turned out, her account was compromised and this message moved to all her buddies. I knew she wasn't in the U.K. but had just released a new business by herself. Because I was paying particular attention to her blog posts and the way she communicates, I didn't fall for the fraud. Many times, Facebook hacks are not so quickly detected.
